Photo Contest + iPhone 4S camera = My First Win (mathematically does it add up?)

Background info first..

Now, as co-organisor, my company launch a photography contest called 'Rethink Pink Photo Contest'..

The announcement was made in the morning, Friday - 18 Nov 2013 via company's intranet. 'Twin Towers being lighted in pink'. Happening that evening/night. Now, I didn't bring my DSLR for this probably once in a lifetime moment.

Decision time after work:
a) go home (Puchong) get my DSLR, go through the Friday massive jam and comeback, or
b) Use my iPhone camera and its known limitation

So I chose 'b'.

As I walked out the building.. It was raining.. Ouch, didn't expect that..

Oh well, might as well just go through it (& make the best of it!).. Snap here, snap there.. after 10 mins, the conditions were not to my advantage. Decided to just make do with what ever I have.

On my way home, in the LRT to Taman Bahagia, I inserted the 'less than 15 words' caption and posted to instagram @rethinkpinkcontest #rethinkpinkcontest shortly before reaching my destination, Taman Bahagia.

On Oct 31, I received an email...

Anyway, if you are wondering about the caption and photo, here it is..

my first photo contest, my first win..

"Good photography depends far more on skill than it does gear. Good cameras don’t guarantee great photographs, and several professional photographers have been known to shoot with disposable cameras. The secret to great photography is rooted in having a solid understanding of the technical elements of photographs and how they interact with one another..." -unknown-
